Orwellian Trump

"And the creatures outside looked from pig to man and from man to pig and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."
--Animal Farm, George Orwell

  1. Mad Dog,
My, my-if ever there was a solid argument for the existence of reincarnation this is it. Mussolini may have slipped the surly bonds of earth in '45, but it was apparently a brief trip. He wasn't allowed to touch the face of God and was instead sent packing-back to earth for Round Two as The Donald. Humanity will be forever in your debt for bringing this to light-although comparing these guys to pigs is a grave disservice to swine everywhere..

  2. Ms. Maud,

And now you are quoting Peggy Noonan, the words she wrote for Ronald Reagan after the Challenger disaster, I believe.
Well, Ms. Maud, if ever Mad Dog decides he must run for the Presidency in some geriatric spasm of hubris, you will be the first person he seeks out for his speech writer, and he will hope, like Reagan, he has just enough neurons functioning to deliver the speeches you create.

The final line is proof of the old adage "great minds think alike." Ashley Montague, in a textbook of Anthropology, discussing the comparison many popular writers had made between the Neanderthal and the gorilla, said this invidious comparison did a great disservice to the gorilla. Reading that in a "reading room" of the library, Mad Dog, as a twenty something college student, laughed out loud and dozens of eyes turned toward him, sitting at his wooden table in the middle of the room and he had to slink out to the bathroom to regain his composure.

Your humble servant and partner in crime,
    Mad Dog
