Trump's Goon Squad

Bannon
Goebbels
That’s one of the unintended consequences of the women’s liberation movement––that, in fact, the women that would lead this country would be feminine, they would be pro-family, they would have husbands, they would love their children. They wouldn’t be a bunch of dykes that came from the 7 Sisters schools.”
--Stephen Bannon

Even Donald Trump, who seemed to run his campaign alone, cannot govern alone.
He is now gathering around him a veritable rogues' gallery of unappetizing deplorables,  and the number will only grow.
Chief among them is this shaddowy, psychopath Stephen Bannon. If you really want to generate a profound nausea in the pit of your stomach, go on line and read about him. I have to do it in small doses. But, over the next week or so, I promise I'll pick through the dog droppings which are Mr. Trump's men.
So far, we have only a few.
Mr. Trump's minister of propaganda appears, for the moment to be Mr. Bannon. Rush Limbaugh is having too much fun and is too effective where he is to move into the West Wing. So, it's Bannon.  He is Trump's Goebbels.

His foreign minister, his Goering is, of course Newt Gingrich, who managed to bring the government down, temporarily, during his last term in government.

His hatchet man, the guy who shows up when the dirty work needs doing, his Himmler, is Rudolph Giuliani, who tried to build his career on the 9/11 catastrophe and has been looking for a new catastrophe ever since. Apparently, he has now found one.

  1. Mad Dog,
Referring to any of these guys as rogues is a sucker punch to rogues everywhere..The term rogue has-to me-always included a certain bit of devil may care panache..maybe even a bit of charm..Nothing any of the aforementioned lowlifes have..Just rodents scurrying around looking for a hole they can squeeze through to gain power-or at least be close to the power...Disgusting group-and now my comparison has done a grave injustice to the rodents of the world...Rogues and rodents far superior beings than any of Trump's inner group...Bannon, who will go down in history as one of the architects of the filthiest campaigns ever, sleazy is almost to good a term for him and Guiliani that shameless, hideous opportunist. In the last weeks of the campaign he was the loyal lap dog out telling lies with reckless abandon-there'll be a reward for him somewhere...Newt Gingrich-enough said...UGH...

I can't think about this anymore at the moment..I'm heading out to put the finishing touches on the bunker I've dug in my backyard. I'm thinking a few toss pillows will really warm up the space....After January 20th one can never be too prepared..

  2. Ms. Maud,
I believe you once said you liked Lillian Helman. I think she wrote "Scoundrel Time." I guess "scoundrels" would suffice.
We are not the first nor the only country currently who have a despicable or a deplorable or a buffoon as our national leader. Ours just happens to hog the spot light.
Now is a good time to read history. That gives perspective about how much badness we have had in our leaders and in times past. Just get out your New Yorker and your New York Times, The Atlantic and go listen to the Leftist Marching Band in Portsmouth and know that New Hampshire, in the end, went for Hillary Clinton by 4,000 votes, defeated Kelly Ayotte and Frank Guinta. New Hampshire did all that was asked of it. We'll just have to wait for the Rust Belt to flush out some of the corrosion from the cerebral arteries.
