True Grit, Phony Grit
Do these two pictures not say it all?
In one, there is a real man.
"War is not popularity seeking. It is all Hell."
In one there is a pretend man.
"I know more than the generals. I went to military school."
This is my Christmas present to the world: A simple truth.
Merry Christmas.
Mad Dog,
ReplyDeleteOr true grit vs. true graft...In the twisted mind of the imbecile in the oval office, the clothes make the man. He'd never approve of Sherman appearing in his tired, well worn uniform-one that actually saw a multitude of battles. Hell no. Why just look at Cadet Donny turned out in full military(school) splendor with nary a hair out of place. That's a very crisp uniform he's sporting, replete with a couple medals dangling from his chest, but what pray tell, given he never was near a battle, did he do to earn those pins and medals. Well who knows, perhaps one was awarded for the heroic act of "walking fast while dealing with heel spurs"...Perhaps the other eared for winning the "Last Man Screaming" contest-hard to say...
One also has to wonder what the Trump followers see when they look at this photo, why it doesn't cause them to wince or laugh. Apparently like beauty, heroism is in the eye of the beholder and they see a hero and a patriot, not a buffoon in a costume...
Maud
Ms. Maud,
ReplyDeleteThat is the great mystery. We have all heard them, saying Trump will be the greatest President since FDR. Adulation for the naked emperor. It's not President Heel Spur who intrigues me but the millions who find him so inspiring. Really, what are they thinking?
I agree - what could all these people possibly be thinking? Surely they would never tolerate such a person in their own personal circle of friends. He is so obviously flawed (and factually challenged) that almost anyone would see it. The only explanation can be that, as we say in the South, "you can't fix stupid"! Truly alarming to see!
