Just in case you missed it: a U.S. Attorney in California was fired by President Trump because she notified a lawless ICE official a court order forbid him from arresting people because they looked Hispanic.
She was following a court order to the letter.

Michele Beckwith told Gregory Bonvino, head of the Border Patrol's El Centro region, to stop arresting people for walking while Brown, and liceity split, she got fired directly by the Oval Office.

Mr. Bonvino apparently responded that the Supreme Court had already ruled arresting people for speaking Spanish, looking Mexican or working in jobs frequented by immigrants is perfectly alright.
So, this is where we are: the 3 branches of government has collapsed into one: The Executive branch, or some would say the Royal branch--"Le droit, c'est moi," meaning "I am the state," which is Louis XIV. His stance was that newly elected presidents should have the ability to appoint their own chief federal prosecutors.

This month, Ms. Sassoon published an essay in The Wall Street Journal in which she criticized President Joseph R. Biden Jr. for commuting the sentences of nearly 2,500 “supposedly nonviolent offenders” without consulting the prosecutors or judges involved.. Where was mad dog and Maude when that happened? No glib criticism of their senile idiot leader?
